Please Pray/ Updated

Updated:
My friend did end up losing her baby. Please pray that God would comfort her and her family during this time.

A good name is better than precious ointment,
and the day of death than the day of birth.
It is better to go to the house of mourning
than to go to the house of feasting,
for this is the end of all mankind,
and the living will lay it to heart.
Sorrow is better than laughter,
for by sadness of face the heart is made glad.
The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning,
but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.
Better is the end of a thing than its beginning,
and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
Be not quick in your spirit to become angry,
for anger lodges in the bosom of fools.
Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.
Wisdom is good with an inheritance,
an advantage to those who see the sun.
For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money,
and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.
Consider the work of God:
who can make straight what he has made crooked?
In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.
Ecclesiastes 7: 1-4, 7: 8-14

Hello everyone, I'm doing fine but I wanted to ask that you please please pray for a very good friend of mine who is due the same day as me. She has started to bleed and is in a lot of pain. Please pray that she doesn't lose the baby.
Thanks,
Vanessa

5 weeks 1 day pregnant

Here I am 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant
130 lbs
35 inches around
Notice that nice baby bump I have going???
Well that's left over from the twins ha
but now were calling it my 5 week baby bump :)

I'm pregnant

Hi everyone, I just wanted y'all to know that I'm 5 weeks pregnant! :)
The estimated due date is January 28, 2010
And we could not be more excited!

I wore this shirt to tell Jason that we were expecting baby number 4 (maybe 5 who knows???)
We will find out when I go to the doctor on June 17th.

One of my very favorite things in life is being pregnant.
I feel blessed beyond words that God has chosen to bless us with another baby!
I will keep y'all updated.

Kenya hanging with some of the family

Here is Kenya hanging with her Uncle Toe Toe. Uncle Toe Toe is the one who was updating the blog while I was in labor with the twins.
Kenya having breakfast with her Great Grandma who was giving her WAY too much syrup. It was so funny Kenya would take a bite then say, "Grandma, can I have some more?" Sure enough every time she asked she got more. I just laughed and acted like I had no clue what was going on.
Here is Kenya playing with her Tio, she loves him so much!
And last but not least here is the "Little Boo" (as I love to call her) getting some love from her Auntie Lori. She is pregnant with their (Tio and Lori's) second child due at the end of August. Their first baby, Leonardo Daniel, is in Heaven with his cousins Melody and Madison so if you could please be praying for them as they get ready to welcome their daughter into the world I know they would appreciate it.

Nothing like being loved on for 4 days straight by family you don't get to see very often!

Our plane ride to El Paso

Kenya did so good on the plane ride to El Paso. She got a little scared at take off and landing but other than that she was perfect! We always take her car seat on board and buckle her in it. It makes life a lot easier because she knows she can't get out of her car seat. So she just sits there. Of course I brought a ton of thing for her to do on the plane.

She is starting to draw people,... how cute and strange is the person she is working on!?!
She loved getting juice on the plane.
Here she is in El Paso looking like a big girl!

She loved pulling her luggage.
And looked so cute doing it!

Take me out to the ball game I mean baby shower

Some of our very best friend's Jay and Shannon are due to have their second child (which happens to be a baby boy with no name) a day after my birthday. I'm really hoping he is born on my birthday,... we will see. Anyways, several of us threw her a baseball theme baby shower at a park. It was a beautiful day,... well besides the possible rain and light sprinkling. :)

Jennifer (Shannon's little) sister
made this awesome cake
and beside her in pink is
Shannon looking so cute and pregnant!

Don't you just love this cake!?!?!?
We enjoyed some hot dogs, peanuts and cracker jacks.
I was helping host the shower and was a little worried about Kenya running off. My fears were in vain as I soon learned that my child loves boxes,... in fact she stayed inside of this one almost the whole shower.
I was so busy playing host that I didn't get very many good pictures, but I had to share because it was such a fun day and she is such a good friend!

I love you Shannon and I can't wait to meet baby Eli, I mean Asher, I mean Ian, I mean Shiloh, I mean Jack,... poor kid doesn't have a name. Okay if you guys know of any amazing boy names please go leave a comment on Shannon's blog they are not sure what to name this little one :)

Potty Training update

I'm sure you have all just been dying to know how potty training is going so without further a due I have all the details for you :)

I know I have said before that I am very inconsistent in potty training and it was working for us. Well I learned really fast that being inconsistent was not such a great idea when it came to potty training. Kenya was having a hard time with it and so was I. I decided to stop potty training once again (I think that makes it 10 times since Kenya was 18 months. Yes 18 months I know what was I thinking?)

Once we came back from El Paso I thought, "Okay, I know we can do this!" and I decided to get all crazy and go to just panties. That's right no diapers at all not even at bed time. You will never believe what happened... It worked! I started a week ago on Monday and Kenya has had very few accidents. In fact she only wet the bed twice.

I think Kenya was just ready this time. She tells me when she has to go to the bathroom and if she does wet herself it just a tiny bit then she holds it until I can get her to the potty.

I am so excited not to have to buy diapers anymore! Although I can't complain because graciously her Uncle Toe Toe bought all of her diapers her first year of life. THANK YOU UNCLE TOE TOE!

Just so you know the picture at the top is of Kenya's doll house. I guess she was potty training the Mom and Dad. I thought it was so funny I had to take a picture. And no we don't let Kenya potty in the sink. :D

Spring-time Fun

Our good buddy Sara gave our good buddy (and her twin sister) Shannon a little blue kiddie pool. Shannon then gave it to us and Kenya couldn't be happier!

Kenya has enjoyed many hours in this pool and
I don't see her wanting to stop any time soon.

Tiny Treasures Tuesdays - Art Fest

For those of you who don't know, I have an in home daycare named Tiny Treasures and on Tuesdays I tell y'all what we have been up to (if I remember).

A few weeks ago Jason, our buddy Junior and I took the kids to the Fort Worth Main Street Art Fest. It was such a beautiful day and there was so much to see.

Kenya loves riding next to Levi in the double stroller. (Oh and if you need a double stroller the Jeep one is GREAT! The seats recline, it is light weight and really easy to push.)

Gabye and Kenya loved this cow they both wanted to ride it.
Free art for kids is always fun. Kenya made a bunny and Gabye made a cat.

The girls also enjoyed making sand art which wasn't free but was worth the 5 bucks.

This piece of art was a HUGE hit!
Levi was worn out!

That was our exciting day at the Fort Worth Main Street Art Fest :)

3 Give-A-Ways

Hey guys if you love your blog and want to get a FREE makeover for it head over here and enter to win.

Also if you love carrying your kids head over here to win a Meeup baby carrier.

Well I need to add one more to the list. You know about Serious Life Magazine and the fact that we are once again in the Blog Directory right? You didn't oh well we are :) Not only that but this month there is a special treat. The creator of the Magazine Brent Riggs after four years has completed his book called Terrorist to Evangelist . Here is what he has to say about the book,

Terrorist to Evangelist: The True Story of Kenneth McClinton by Brent Riggs

Born into poverty, an abusive alcoholic father, state-run homes, violence, prison, political turmoil... Ken McClinton was born to lose. But all alone in a prison cell, he found the God who never gives up, and was born again. From childhood to terrorism to murder to prison to salvation, this is the real story of a real terrorist rescued by a real Savior. This book is an absolutely FREE story of hope. http://www.terroristtoevangelist.com/

Read the first chapter, and I DARE you to try and stop reading...Why am I giving it away FREE? Because the story is just too powerful to limit by making it only available for purchase. I actually put the book up for sale last week, but many people were requesting it who could not pay. After much consideration, the HOPE that is offered by this book and story, is so great, I just want to put it out there for EVERYONE, and not limit it’s sharing or distribution. I’m giving away the contents FREE online, and as a FREE downloadable eBook. People can get a paperback if they want - I can’t afford to print and ship those for free - but the eBook (in printable format) is ABSOLUTELY FREE.

How cool is that!?! So go and read his book and if you can afford it buy one. I know they could use the money for medical bill they have acquired while their daughter battles cancer. Please keep praying for Abby.

I'm now off to feed kids, let them play, wash clothes, make doctors apt for dee, change diapers, feed them lunch, put them to bed, pack, print airline tickets, get ride to air port, change kids, give kids snack, send Jason to store to print pictures, get magnets, finish mothers day gifts, cry (j/k), change diapers, fix kids hair and wait for the kids to be picked up, then head to the air port, and fall asleep as soon as I sit down.

We are going to visit Jason's family for a few days. Hopefully I will be better about sharing that trip with you than I was our cruise... Sorry about that :)
