Vanessa's Dad had a heart attack/ UPDATE/ Last Update

I just wanted to say thank you guys so much for praying my Dad went home from the hospital yesterday. I'm so surprised at how fast he recovered. I am just praising God for his recovery.

------------------

My Dad is doing a lot better! They removed the balloon from his heart so it is now pumping on it's own. He is now breathing on his own and they will remove the ventilator in the morning if he is still doing good. He has a long way to go but he is making progress. Thank you so much for praying!

Hey this is Vanessa and I'm writing this from Jason's phone so please forgive any typos. I just wanted to ask for prayer for my Dad he had a massive heart attack today. His heart stopped for about 20 minutes. They were able to start it again and do surgery. They put a stent and a balloon in his heart. He is also on a vent and hooked up to tons of iv's. He had a second heart attack after the surgery and his heart stopped again. They got it started and got him moved to the icu. We were able to see him but he is sedate so he was not awake or responding to us. There are lots of details I'm leaving out but will write more once I can. Please please be praying!

  5. Not a comment on this specific post, but on your entire blog.

Not even sure what to say...but wanted you to know that you and your family, whom I'll probably never meet have just hugely impacted my life.

I'm currently on medical leave from work for severe depression, likely to be hospitalized again soon and feel like I've hit rock bottom.

I've gotten to the point of praying (yes, I am a Christian, though I've walked away from the Lord)...and being arrogant enough to essentially tell God that I can't see any purpose for my life and if God didn't kill me, I was going to.

Today I didn't even have the energy to get out of bed, or the mental stamina to study...so I sat in bed online. And read your blog...all of it.

God works in mysterious ways...your blog just broke my heart. How can I judge if my life is worth living?

Anyway, thanks for sharing your story so openly & honestly

  6. Anonymous,
Thank you so much for commenting and sharing your heart with us. I'm so thankful that the Lord used Melody and Madison's lives to give you hope. God is so faithful!

I wanted to share Romans 5:1-11 with you.
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Praise God through repenting of our sins and putting our full trust in Jesus alone for our salvation we are reconciled with God.

Our family will be praying for you! Please feel free to email us if you want to keep in contact.

    Thank you again for commenting!

  7. Anonymous,
I also wanted to say that these trials you are going through are not in vain. According to Romans 5:1-11 the Lord is using this in your life to "produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame"

Just trust the Lord and allow Him to use this for His glory and your good.
