Anton is extremely sick and going into emergency surgery soon. We found out today through x-rays, and then a CT scan that Anton has intasusception. His intestines are going into his stomach which is going into his colon and it's all twisted. They tried to do an enema with water to push it all out but it perforated into the area around the intestines. If left alone that could lead to an infection which could kill him. He will be going into surgery soon and will come out with a colostomy bag. His attending doctor was very honest with us about how serious this is. He doesn't think Anton us going to survive. I just talked to the surgeon and he said because Anton is immune suppressed, the size of the wound they will make opening him up, the fact that he already has infections in his stomach this is an extremely risky surgery. No one is giving us much hope but we know no matter what God is faithful and our hope is in him. via Help Anton http://ift.tt/1HtLCJr November 27, 2015 at 06:29PM

Happy Thanksgiving again :) I enjoyed my first Thanksgiving lunch with two of my fellow BMT Mama's (Jamie, and Caroline). Then Jason, Kenya, and Judah came up to the hospital and we got to eat together. Anton wasn't feeling good and slept most of the time they were here but I'm thankful we could all be together for a little bit today. - November 26, 2015 at 03:45PM http://ift.tt/1r2lUi4

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! Anton did a great job during his mri and it showed no signs of infection. He does have three different types of blood infections (I will update this with the types after I ask his nurse). Hoping the IV antibiotics will clear them fast. He still isn't feeling well and isn't acting like himself. I was so excited to see it was snowing when we woke up and there was snow on the ground!!! These Texans have been waiting for snow for a long time! I will keep yall updated! I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving! - November 26, 2015 at 10:08AM http://ift.tt/1r2lUi4

Facebook update from Help Anton

This little guy is back in the hospital and not feeling good at all. He woke up at 7am throwing up and I have lost count of how many times he has thrown up since then. His temperature is 101 and he is miserable. We are in preop now waiting for his mri. Hoping nothing is wrong but also hoping for some answers. I love this hospital and the doctors so much. The anesthesiologist that will be putting Anton to sleep for his MRI came in and told me the plan, basically I will go down and help them do everything. Then by the spot on the white board for resident doctor she wrote Mom. :) Even though it is hard to be away from our home, family, friends, and church I am thankful Anton is being taken care of at such an amazing hospital. - November 25, 2015 at 12:48PM http://ift.tt/1r2lUi4
