While Anton was going potty tonight I thought "maybe I should just put him in the bath with all his wraps on and just let him play, no pain meds and see how he does" so I did and he is having a BLAST. We normally give Anton very strong narcotics before his bath because it is so painful and he is so scared. He normally screams at the top of his lungs even on such strong meds but not tonight. Tonight he is happily playing in the tub without any pain meds. I am so blown away by this gift, this gift of getting to watch my son enjoy something that is normally torture for him. I am praising God for this gift tonight. via Help Anton http://ift.tt/1CSWUDd February 10, 2015 at 08:22PM

Update on the BMT: A third donor came up on the registry in January so Dr. Tolar requested blood work from that person to see how close of a match they were. We just got the results back and it turns out that that person is in fact the closest match. Now the team in MN is working with the registry to see when the donor can go for their physical and when they can donate their bone marrow. Everything has to be timed perfectly because Anton will get that person's marrow 24 to 48 hours after they donate it. At this point we are just waiting to hear back on the timing of everything. It will still be a week or two before we know when we will be headed to MN. We are excited to get to Minnesota and start the journey toward healing but we are so thankful for God's perfect timing in all of this! We will keep y'all updated. via Help Anton http://ift.tt/16vYhcT February 07, 2015 at 12:51PM

Our local fire department blessed our family so much by spoiling our kiddos rotten for Christmas. They invited us to come to the fire station and see the trucks and we were finally able to make that happen today. They were so sweet with our kids and let them climb in the fire truck, turn the lights on, turn the siren on, and Judah even honked the horn (that was LOUD!!!). Then they showed us around the fire station and spent lots of time explaining how they lived while on duty. It was such a neat experience and such a joy to watch our kiddos interacting with the firefighters. Anton has never decided what he wanted to do when he grew up until today and he has finally decided he wasn't to be the boss firefighter and he wants to push the buttons in the fire truck. I asked Anton what his favorite part was and he said "getting to take a picture with the firefighters." We had so much fun and are so thankful for the memories we got to make tonight. To our firefighter friends who are reading this THANK YOU guys so much, I'm not sure if you will ever know how special today was for our family but I sure hope you guys realize what a gift y'all gave us tonight. Thank you again! Love, The Delgados via Help Anton http://ift.tt/1DpC0IB January 31, 2015 at 02:53AM

Things we take for granted in life like getting to sit at our Island become great joy for Anton when he gets to do them for the first time. I love that Anton can now sit safely with Kenya and Judah at our island. via Help Anton http://ift.tt/1JuobMN January 26, 2015 at 12:36PM
