Melody Joy & Madison Hope Delgado

...ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?
In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.

Job 12:7-10

For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there were none of them.
Psalms 139:13-16

Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped.
And he said,
"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
and naked shall I return.
The LORD gave,
and the LORD has taken away;
blessed be the name of the LORD."
In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.

Job 1:20-22

16 inches long
Lived for about an hour

Melody Joy & Madison Hope Delgado are now more alive than we are

As he [Jesus] passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.
And his disciples asked him,
"Rabbi, who sinned,
this man or his parents,
that he was born blind?"
Jesus answered,
"It was not that this man sinned,
or his parents,
that the works of God might be displayed in him."
John 9:1-3

Vanessa, there are no words to express the way I have felt these last months feeling the highs and lows with you as you shared your heart over the blog and text, and we have asked God so many days for Him to do the impossible. You are a treasure and a WONDERFUL mommy of 3 beautiful girls... we love that you have had joy even in the sorrow of fewer and fewer days with your M&M. We know the road from here will be hard, but Jesus will continue to be your refuge and strength sweet friend. I wish I could carry just a portion of your load...

I myself have had numerous miscarriages and although nothing in comparison to what you are enduring I can not remember ever feeling so at peace as you two wonderful couple seem to be. I didn't quite understand, why me? Today I know "why me", the Lord had a plan for me. My beautiful baby girl Mia came after conceiving and miscarrying a dozen times. I couldn't imagine not having her in my life. God has a plan, but I don't need to tell you that; I think YOU TWO have taught me that in a matter of weeks! May God continue to bless you each and every day and may He hold you in His arms through all.

How sweet the Name of Jesus sounds
In a believer’s ear!
It soothes his sorrows, heals his wounds,
And drives away his fear.

It makes the wounded spirit whole,
And calms the troubled breast;
’Tis manna to the hungry soul,
And to the weary, rest.

Dear Name, the Rock on which I build,
My Shield and Hiding Place,
My never failing treasury, filled
With boundless stores of grace!

My Lord, my Life, my Way, my End,

I came over from 4 little men and twins. What a wonderful post, filled with hope that is beyond our eartly comprehension. Your daughters are so incredibly beautiful, and I am praising Him today that you were able to spend some time with them before they went Home. God is so good.

I can't imagine, even knowing all of this, how difficult this time must be. I, too, have lost a child, and it was the darkest time in my life. I (obviously in a slightly different way) feel your pain, and I am sorry that you are having to walk this road....but I know God is good, even when times here on earth are tough.

May the Lord bless your family--you will be in my prayers, and I will be back again to check on you all.

I came by way of 4 Little Men, I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your precious girls Melody and Madison. I lost my son Joshua earlier this year at 67 days of age.

Much love to you and your family. What beautiful girls. I love your name choices. Melody Joy is my best friend's name. 2Corinthians 5:1-4
1For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven. 3If indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. "In the Valley" taken from an old Puritan Prayer

"When You lead me to the valley of vision
I can see You in the heights
and though my humbling wouldn't be my decision
It's here Your glory shines so bright
So let me learn that the cross preceeds the crown
To be low is to be high
That the valley's where you make me more like Christ

Let me find Your grace in the valley,
Let me find Your life in my death.
Let me find Your joy in my sorrow,
Your wealth in my need
That You're near with every breath,
In the valley.

In the daytime there are stars in the heavens,
but they only shine at night.
And the deeper that I go into darkness,
It's here Your glory shines so bright
So let me learn that my losses are my gain
to be broken is to heal
That the valley's where Your power is revealed."

That song together with Scriptures, is where I gleaned so much comfort through the losses of my babies in the womb. There is so much truth to that song, I just wanted to share it, I know you guys rest in God's sovereignty, but I also know it still hurts. Everyone quotes Romans 8:28 during times like these, but in this we rejoice for the reason of verse 28, the reason is in verses 29-30, to be comformed to His Image. Glory.

May it all be for His glory,
Mendi, Jim and Dylan
(you don't know us, but we've known about you through the Kirks)

p.s. If you want to obtain that song you can get it through www.sovereigngracemusic.com and the original prayer is contained in Arthur Bennet's Valley of Vision book.

Melody Joy and Madison Hope are beautiful! These tiny, sweet little girls have touched the lives of so many.

I am thankful that you were blessed with an hour of their lives to hold them, express your love for them, and share them with your family.

You have done so much for our family, and we are so blessed to know you.

Our hearts are with you, your sweet baby girls, and your family.

Shar, Greg, Josh, Brodie, and Seth
